• About Bagru Velvet:- Bagru Velvet is a block printed textile that combines the traditional Bagru hand block printing craft of Rajasthan with the dense, soft surface of velvet, resulting in a fabric recognised by its earthy colour palette, bold hand printed motifs and a rich textured surface with a soft sheen. Originating from the Bagru printing cluster near Jaipur, this textile is identified by natural dye colours such as black, rust red, indigo and beige printed in bold floral, geometric and folk inspired motifs. When printed on velvet instead of cotton, the colours appear deeper and more muted, and the fabric develops a heavier, more structured fall suitable for jackets, tunics and occasion wear garments.
