- About Brocade:- Brocade is a decorative woven textile recognised by its raised patterns, rich surface texture and often a slight sheen created through supplementary weft weaving. Unlike printed or embroidered fabrics, brocade patterns are woven directly into the fabric structure on the loom, usually using silk or silk blend yarns along with metallic or contrasting threads. The fabric is typically medium to heavy in weight with a structured fall, and can be identified by its embossed or slightly raised motifs that appear as part of the weave rather than sitting on the surface. Brocade is commonly used for garments that require structure, form and a more formal textile surface.
- About Banarasi:- Banarasi brocades employ jacquard-assisted drawlooms with zari (gold-silver alloyed) supplementary weft. Pattern repeat precision defines jaal and kalga-bel motifs. High filament density yields metallic reflectance and structural integrity.
