Originating in the Nalanda and Gaya regions, this weave was historically associated with status and ceremonial wear, its intricacy reflecting both artistic mastery and social value. Rather than relying on surface embellishment, Bawan Buti embeds beauty directly into the fabric’s structure, making the cloth itself the canvas.
